Baby Shower

My Mom, Sister's, and I hosted my Sister in Law Yvette's Baby Shower on Saturday, December 4th. I just love planning Parties. We had never hosted a Co-ed Baby Shower in the past. It turned out very well. I was surprised to see some Men participate in the games. We had a great time. I can't wait to hold my Niece or Nephew.

The Meaning of the Candy Cane

I saw this online, and I just had to share!
meaning of christmas candy cane

The Meaning of the Candy Cane

Many years ago a candy maker wanted to make a candy that would symbolize the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus.

The hard candy was shaped like a “J” to represent that Jesus is our rock of all ages. The candy was made of white to stand for the pureness of Jesus. The red represents the blood that Jesus shed to save us from our sins.

So the next time you see a candy cane take a minute to remember the real meaning of Christmas.

Thanksgiving Trip

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! We did something different this year. We drove out to Laghlin, NV. We had a great time. :-) No one had to cook or clean up.

We took the kids bowling after Thanksgiving Dinner. This was Abby's first time bowling. She absolutely LOVED it!

We also went to Oatman in AZ. It's a Ghost Town. It's really neat. There are Donkeys roaming the streets. We bought carrots and fed them. Joey had a blast, Abby wasn't too impressed. LOL!

Another day at Home...

I'm so thankful to be at home with my kids. It truly is such a blessing. My Little Abby just walked up to me and said "big hug" I could hug her all day. I just had to share, because it's these moments that mean the world to me.

Awesome Weekend...

We had an awesome weekend. We went to Church, The Beach to take our Family Pictures, and lastly Lombardi Ranch to pick out our Pumpkins. I've posted some pictures. We took over 500 pictures... I have a lot of work to do, to choose which ones I like best. :-)

Tuesday, October 26th was a bit of a rough day. Babe totaled his car. We're so thankful he's okay. He's in quite a bit of pain, but hopefully nothing too serious. It was a pretty scary site. It makes me realize how quickly ones life can change...

Dinner at IHOP

We went out for Dinner this Thursday evening. I wanted Bob's Big Boy, however we were too hungry to drive that far, so we decided to go to IHOP instead. We were the only ones in the Restaurant for a bit, then an older Gentleman came in and was seated in the booth behind Babe and Abby. I told he him that he may want to move because the kids may be a bit too loud for him to enjoy dinner. He said he didn't mind because he had Grandchildren. He later asked how old Abby was, and then Babe asked me. LOL! We told him, and that was that. We didn't speak after that. When we went to pay we were told that the older Gentleman paid for our dinner. I couldn't believe it! They called him Santa Clause. It's amazing how God works!

I just had to share this, because I still can't believe it. I know it was only IHOP, but it's definitely a blessing when someone randomly pays for your food.

Until next time... Enjoy Life, everyday is a Blessing!

Family Pictures...

I'm so excited... We're going to take Family pictures soon. We're going to the Beach. I've always wanted to have a picture of the four of us walking along the beach holding hands. I can't wait. :-) I just hope the kids cooperate. It's not easy to get the two of them to smile and look at the camera at the same time. Can't wait to post them.

Halloween is comin'...

Here are a few Halloween pictures from Disneyland. I forgot my camera AGAIN.... I keep forgetting my camera in the car. So these pictures are from my cell phone. The main reason I took these pictures is because I'm planning on having a Disney Theme for Halloween this year. I can't wait to post our Halloween Pictures. We're going to celebrate Halloween at our Church. Our Church is having a "Trunk or Treat" event this year, where everyone is going to decorate their trunk, and have games and prizes! There will be a prize for the Family with the best decorated trunk. Wish us luck!!!

Babe's Birthday...

This past Saturday was Babe's Birthday! We went to Disneyland for the weekend. We had a great time. The best part was that we got to eat Breakfast with Mickey and his Friends. Joey had a blast, Abby not so much. She didn't really care for any of the characters. I couldn't believe it, she's usually very brave. She just saw Mickey a couple weeks ago. Who knows... maybe she'll like them next time we see them. You never know with kids these days. I'll have to post some pictures soon.

Until next time... Enjoy Life, everyday is a Blessing!

QUOTE OF THE WEEK...

So I decided I'm going to post a quote once a week. I wanted to do a Quote of the Day, but then I realized that I have a 3 year old who is in the middle of potty training, and an 18 month old daughter going on 3! LOL! Once a week will do. I think us Mommies could use a nice quote every once in a while to help us throughout the day, etc.

The best angle from which to approach any problem is the try-angle.  ~Author Unknown

I LOVE this quote. It's how I started potty training my Little Joey. I sing the song we hear in Yo Gabba Gabba. It's amazing the songs we sing once we become Mommies.

Mini Marathon...

Joey ran his first Marathon... well sort of. :-) He took a few steps and decided he didn't want to do it, so Mommy (while holding Joey) had to run around College of the Canyons Track to complete the marathon. That was a nice workout. We finished, and he got a cute little medal and a free Hamburger as well. :-) I really enjoyed the whole idea, Joey not so much. Of course when we were walking to the car he was ready to run. I can't wait til next year, hopefully Abby will participate as well. Below are a few pictures.:-)
I truly enjoy these moments with my kids!

2010 Convention

I finally met my Mentor Alyssa. I also got to meet some other amazing Women like Rebecca, Lisa, and Sarah with precious Baby Easton. I must say I was pretty nervous before I met them. I was hoping it wouln't be awkward. It definitely wasn't awkard. In fact, it was so much fun. It seemed like we had known each other forever. This was my first Convention, and I had an awesome time. I can't wait til next year. Take a look at some pictures!!!!

These are pictures of us driving towards Utah from Vegas. I believe this is in Arizona.
Right after I met Alyssa, Sarah & Baby Easton (In person of course) for the first time!
